Team USA triumphs vs. Nepal in final ODI
Team USA @usacricket turned in a true team effort to win the final ODI vs. Nepal
The batters, bowlers, and all-rounders all pitched in to triumph by 37 runs.
The USA was put in to bat first in very bowler-friendly conditions.
The most critical knock came from all-rounder Harmeet Singh @iam.harmeetsingh who came in at 6 with the US sitting on a score of 216, and batted until the getting out on the very last ball. His half century (59 off 44) help take the US total well above par, and out of Nepali reach. He had 3 fours and 3 sixes – more sixes than any player on either team).
Other crucial knocks came from 20-year-old Saiteja Mukkamalla @saitejam10 (75 off 87), Captain Monank Patel @monank15 (67 off 81) and Aaron Jones (26 off 20).
The 6 bowlers who were called upon, combined for a solid defense of the USA’s 281 runs.
Player of the match Saurabh Netravalkar @saurabh_netra had a magnificent 4-wicket haul (4 for 47 with 1 maiden).
Shadley van Schalkwyk @shadleyvs (2 for 52 in 9 overs, with a maiden) and Nosthush (2 for 33 in 8 overs, 4.13 economy) Kenjige took two wickets each.
Harmeet Singh, the only American to bowl a full 10 overs was 1 for 46 with a maiden, and Jessy Singh was 1 for 46 with a maiden.
17 year old Utkarsh Srivastava @utkarsh_0271 also had a short but impactful spell of 0 for 17 in 4 overs (4.25 economy).
Overall it was a fitting end to Team USA Men’s run at Grand Prairie — reminding us that the present is strong and the future is extremely bright.
Congrats all!
