Burger, Zia & Marsh = MLC’s Most Dangerous Bowling Trio?

Another big international addition to the MLC! South Africa’s Nandre Burger is heading to the Texas Super Kings, and Zee @thezeezaidi, Aaman @apsportsnews_, and Nate @cricfanusa are back to break it all down.

Aaman’s hyped — he’s all about left-arm seam, and Burger’s @17_nandre got the goods: heavy length, steep bounce, and serious height. Add in Zia-ul-Haq’s @ulhaq6061 swing and Mitchell Marsh’s @mitchmarsh235 all-rounder muscle, and TSK’s bowling unit suddenly looks dangerous.

Akeal Hosein replaces Mitchell Marsh at Texas Super Kings…

Texas Super Kings have announced that West Indies bowler Akeal Hosein will replace Mitchell Marsh for the 2025 MLC Season. Hosein is a left-arm spinner who has picked up more than 100 wickets in international cricket.

He is also hugely experienced in T20 cricket, having scalped close to 200 wickets in his career. He has also represented the West Indies in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Texas Super Kings will open their campaign in the 2025 MLC Season against MI New York on June 13.

The Texas Super Kings have signed Smit Kamleshbhai Patel as a supplementary draft pick for the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season.

The 32-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman has represented the United States of America in 17 internationals (15 ODIs and 2 T20Is). Patel smashed an unbeaten 152 against Canada in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 (CWCL2), marking the third-highest individual score for the USA in ODIs. He has also recorded 200 runs and 10 wicketkeeping dismissals in a single ODI series.

Originally from Gujarat, India, Patel was also part of the Indian team that won the 2012 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. He played a crucial role in the final, scoring an unbeaten 62 to guide India to victory over Australia.
