The Texas Super Kings have signed Smit Kamleshbhai Patel as a supplementary draft pick for the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season.

The 32-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman has represented the United States of America in 17 internationals (15 ODIs and 2 T20Is). Patel smashed an unbeaten 152 against Canada in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 (CWCL2), marking the third-highest individual score for the USA in ODIs. He has also recorded 200 runs and 10 wicketkeeping dismissals in a single ODI series.

Originally from Gujarat, India, Patel was also part of the Indian team that won the 2012 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. He played a crucial role in the final, scoring an unbeaten 62 to guide India to victory over Australia.
